About Jacksonville Bat Removal

Welcome to jacksonvillebat.com. We are the only qualified bat removal company in Jacksonville, Florida. Bats have been labeled as scary for centuries, but there's more than what meets the eye with these little mammals. They have nocturnal abilities and are known for navigating using echolocation. Like all wildlife, it's always a treat to have them around your home. However, sometimes they get in your home, and they become a problem. Attics provide good places for them to live in, because it's dark, quiet, and mostly undisturbed. Because these creatures are relatively quiet, you might not notice them immediately. However, you will want to act immediately if you suspect you have a bat problem. Most homeowners underestimate the size of damage bats can do, but they can really damage the structural integrity of your home if left alone. They can leave bat guano and encourage the growth of fungi in your home. They also carry diseases such as rabies and histoplasmosis. Call us immediately, as we are highly trained professionals specializing in bat extraction. We use a live exclusion device that allows bats to freely leave your attic to hunt at night, but they will not be able to get back inside. This allows us to get them out of your attic without harming a single one. We do not use traps or poison either, because this is illegal. Our job is only halfway done after this, because we will also make sure to clean, deodorize, and decontaminate your house from bat guano, so that no further damages can occur. Call us now for a free consultation! We operate 24-7-365, so don't hesitate to call us at 904-577-8052 to discuss your bat problem and schedule a fast appointment.

Residential

We are experts at removing bats from residential properties. Whether you have a single bat trapped in your house, a colony roosting in your attic, and/or various other problems, there is no need to worry! During our removal process, we make sure to inspect your entire home carefully, tracking down all the entrypoints bats are using to invade your place. Next, we perform a process called live exclusion (where no bats are harmed and all exit your property), then seal all entry holes completely shut. We also take care of the cleanup process after, so your home is safe and clean!

Commercial

Besides residential areas, we also have a wealth of experience removing bats from commercial properties! We begin by investigating the area for possible bat entrances, covering holes even as small as 1/4 of an inch. Through our live exclusion process, bats leave the building through one-way exits, and we seal up every hole afterward. Once the bats have been removed, we perform a cleanup process. This includes dealing with guano, replacing damaged insulation, and decontaminating the place.

What Our Customers Say

Is Poisoning Bats A Good Idea?

There is no denying that bats quickly become a problem when they invade your property. They leave feces, increase the risk of disease and illness, and could potentially bite or attack you or your property.

Getting rid of the bats is where the problems start. You want to remove them without putting yourself at risk and in a way that will work. Finding the perfect solution is not going to come easily to everyone.

One option many consider is poison. Poison promises to remove pest problems quickly, safely, and efficiently, but is it truly the best option? If you have a problem with bats, should you use poison to remove them?

Using Poison on Bats

Before going into any of the risks and dangers associated with poison itself, know that it is illegal to kill bats. If you choose to use poison on your bat problem, you may face serious legal penalties as a result.

Understand that the law is not on your side here. Even if you want to remove the bats, it may not be worth the massive legal risk you take with this action.

It may not be worth it at all, in fact. Poison can kill bats, but there are other risks associated with it. It can kill unintended animals, it can kill children, it can kill wildlife – it can kill most things. It is poison and you cannot guarantee that bats are the only ones to consume it.

That is if they consume it at all. You cannot guarantee they will eat it, either. They may completely ignore it, increasing the risk of something else taking it.

If they do take it, they may die anywhere, including your own home. If they die in your home, you will have to remove the dead animal, or animals, to remove the smell and health hazard. This puts you at a far greater risk in the end.

A Better Solution

Instead of using poison, use an exclusion trap. Just as easy, without any of the risks. You set up the trap and force out the bats, making them leave your property for somewhere else.

No cleaning up dead animals and no worrying about what else may get the poison. You also have no legal troubles with this method.

Bats are a problem, yes, but poison is not the solution. There are far better options out there that you should employ first.
